Overview / Objective


The Coordinating Producer (CP) for "Good Morning Football" (GMFB) plays a pivotal role in the daily production and creative direction of the popular morning sports talk show.

As the leader of the production team, the CP is responsible for ensuring the show's success in delivering engaging, informative, and entertaining content that resonates with viewers.

The CP will play a key role in driving the successful launch of GMFB in its new LA studio, working with show executives to set the editorial and creative direction for both the NFL Network show and a new syndicated & streaming version of the show.


Responsibilities

Content Planning and Development:Lead the development of daily show content, including segment ideas, storylines, interviews, and on-air features. Collaborate with producers and talent to brainstorm and refine ideas that align with the show's format and audience interests. Ensures the highest journalistic and creative standards for the NFL Media group.

Talent Coordination:Work closely with on-air talent, including hosts, analysts, and guests, to plan and execute engaging segments and discussions. Provide coaching, direction, and support to help talent deliver compelling performances and foster chemistry on-screen.

Creative Direction:Set the creative direction and tone for the show, maintaining a balance between sports analysis, entertainment, and audience interaction. Develop innovative segment formats, recurring features, and visual elements to keep the show fresh and dynamic.

Audience Engagement:Monitor audience feedback and engagement metrics to gauge the effectiveness of show content and identify areas for improvement. Develop strategies to enhance viewer interaction through social media, viewer polls, and interactive segments.

Collaboration and Communication:Foster a collaborative and supportive working environment within the production team, promoting open communication and creative collaboration. Coordinate with network executives, talent agents, and other stakeholders to align on strategic goals and priorities. Collaborates with News Managing Editors on final decisions regarding NFL news coverage and how it should be pursued, presented and assigned. Provides guidance, creates and builds relationships with hosts, reporters and other high profile on-air talent including Hall of Fame and Super Bowl Winning former and current NFL Players. Quality Control:Maintain high standards of production quality and consistency across all aspects of the show, including content, visuals, and technical execution. Conduct regular reviews and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Adaptability and Problem-Solving:Anticipate and address challenges and obstacles that arise during production, such as scheduling conflicts, technical issues, or last-minute changes. Demonstrate flexibility and resourcefulness in finding solutions to keep the show running smoothly.


Salary / Pay Range

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience Producing live network shows and/or working in a Senior Producer capacity.
  • 5+ years of experience as a people leader
  • Successful experience with creating and producing compelling shows from inception to execution.
  • Proven experience as a showrunner, executive producer, or similar role in television production, preferably in the sports or morning show genre.
  • Deep knowledge of sports media, including NFL coverage, analysis, and storytelling techniques.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of producers, writers, and crew members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with talent, executives, and external partners.
  • Creative vision and innovation, with a passion for developing engaging and distinctive content for a broad audience.
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, media production, or a related field (preferred).
  • Familiarity with broadcast technologies, ENPS, production workflows, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, highpressure environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work early morning hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the show's live broadcast schedule.
  • A passion for sports and a deep understanding of the culture and dynamics of the sports media landscape.

  • Experience producing a live morning show for national distribution
