Overview /Objective

  • The Associate Producer position is a fulltime staff role in the Producers Department at NFL Films. This position works alongside and supports Producers in the production of television shows, documentaries, features, and other content created for different platforms such as broadcast, cable, streaming, and social. It is a creative role and is primarily officebased and may also lean into field work asneeded.

Responsibilities

  • Edit segments and blocks of programming and write lines of script for narration.
  • Research and log footage, including game footage, broll, interviews, and archival footage utilizing Avid Media Composer and NFL proprietary software.
  • Research storylines and information for content in development or active production.
  • Organize and manage the flow of incoming media on Avid Media Composer for various other associates and Producers on the project.
  • Assist and work alongside Producers in pushing content through to postproduction & delivery workflows.
  • Factcheck programs, graphics, and scripts in postproduction.
  • Participate in inhouse and onlocation shoots, asneeded, including directing interviews in the field.
  • Take part in pitching ideas for new and existing programming.
  • Coordinate effectively across departments for research, scheduling and planning.

Required Qualifications

  • 4year college degree in television, film, media, communications, creative writing, or other relevant areas of study.
  • Minimum 3years' experience in television/film production.
  • Minimum 2year professional video editing experience (prior experience with Avid Media Composer is preferred).
  • Detailed knowledge of professional football (NFL).
  • Interest in telling football stories and other sports stories.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of NFL Films programming, past and present.
  • Previous logging experience using professionallevel video editing software (eg: Premiere, Avid)
  • Professional storytelling & creative writing skills.
  • Strong time management skills and comfortable working on multiple projects at once covering all stages of the production timeline, from preproduction through to postproduction.
  • Previous experience in sports storytelling/television/film production is preferred, but not required.

  • Minimal to moderate travel, depending up on time of year and scope of projects.

- ~40 hours/week

  • This is not a remote position. This is an inoffice position located at NFL Films in Southern New Jersey.
