The Investment Solutions team within Baird Private Wealth Management plays a key role in ensuring that Baird Financial Advisors have the tools and capabilities across the investment, lending and liquidity, insurance, and retirement solution platforms necessary for delivering great outcomes for our clients.

Advisory Solutions has been one of the fastest growing segments within Baird representing 59% of Baird's PWM AUM. In addition, Third-party Managed Solutions (UMA, SMA, and MF/ETF advisory solutions) represent 45% of Baird's advisory assets.


By forging strong relationships with Baird Financial Advisors ("FAs"), the Advisory Solutions Consultant - Third Party Managed Solutions will be expected to be a true partner in the delivery of great client outcomes.

This position is designed to gain exposure to all aspects of the advisory solutions platform, with an emphasis on educating FAs on the use of the third-party managed solutions.

Ideal support also includes successful collaboration within the Investment & Advisory Solutions team to ensure a cohesive strategy across the investment platform.


As an Advisory Solutions Consultant, you will:

  • Work with Baird FAs and recruits to articulate information on internal and external third-party managed solutions.
  • Troubleshooting advisor inquiries on thirdparty managed solutions technology platform, investment strategies, and investment operations/trading as well as share best practices.
  • Educate and train field on model management/proposal tools supporting thirdparty managed solutions strategy.
  • Develop and deliver educational content that is relevant to thirdparty managed solutions.
  • Proactively develop ideas and initiatives to sustainably grow the thirdparty managed platform.
  • Enhance internal processes to that make the thirdparty managed program more efficient and scalable.
  • Develop expertise on the entire advisory platform to effectively partner on broader initiatives within Advisory Solutions and to provide more holistic, booklevel practice management guidance to the field.

What we look for:


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required along with 57 years of relevant professional experience in the financial services industry.
  • SIE, Series 7 & 66 licensed required within 18 months of start date.
  • Ability to learn and effectively navigate Baird's Private Wealth Management technology platforms (Thomson ONE, ValueOne, Envestnet, etc.).
  • Exceptional client service skills including both written and verbal.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • History of delivering consistent, highquality performance.
  • Strong organizational skills ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to act as a team player, assisting others in the department, when necessary, is mandatory.
  • Possesses a high attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills.
