As a temporary member of the Communications Team, leads projects independently, participates in team efforts and works with the Director of Corporate Communications, the Communications and Public Relations teams and other members of M&C on a variety of communications and other initiatives.

Role includes project, administrative and other support for the Director of Corporate Communications and other team members. Also helps oversee a variety of department operational activities and functions. Responsibilities require a high-level of organization, attention to detail, and strong communications and client service skills.

  • As a temp Communications Coordinator, you may:
  • Create and maintain detailed spreadsheets, charts, and other tracking documents for multiple, on-going efforts, communications, issues management, earned media, Baird statistics and FORTUNE data. Interprets and generates reports on data gathered.
  • As part of broader teams, help coordinate complex, multipart projects, meetings and events including the Baird Leadership Group meetings, Baird Business Updates, and annual report photo shoot.
  • Assist in developing timeline and scheduling work team meetings. Gather and track attachments and enclosures; format final document, package and upload submission and formats data from the GPTW report.
  • Create, monitor and generate summary reports for internal client surveys using SurveyMonkey.
  • Help coordinate detailed PowerPoint presentations for Baird's senior leaders for Town Halls, Business Updates, Leadership Group meetings and other internal and external engagements.
  • Provide PowerPoint, Adobe, mail merge and other assistance to department and other associates. Trained to routinely send out broad group communications on behalf of Baird's senior leaders.
  • Proof and help edit complex communications.
  • Update and post BairdWeb content for M&C and other internal clients.
  • Maintain department directories and works with IT, Facilities, etc. for department needs.

What we look for:

  • Strong knowledge of Business Services/Technology Sector.
  • 5 or more years' experience in a highlevel coordinator position or support role; prior experience in the marketing and communications arena a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills (including grammar, editing and proofing).
  • Excellent client service skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external clients on a daily basis.
  • Exceptional computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and mail merges.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and produce consistently strong results with accuracy and reliability.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and to take on additional responsibilities as warranted.
