- Managing the GICF Workers' Compensation program as the primary contact for incident reporting, interaction with the claims adjuster, selection and authorization of clinics, mediation, and resolution of claims.
- Determining OSHA recordability for all employee injuries and maintaining OSHA logs.
- Creating and presenting Workers' Compensation reports for leadership members of GICF.
- Obtaining relevant data for filing Workers' Compensation claims.
- Developing and conducting training on the in-house reporting system, camera system, and audit system as needed.
- Manages return-to-work & modified duty programs in compliance with Florida's Workers' Compensation Laws, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Vision abilities required by this job include: close, distance, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Sitting and standing for long periods of time.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
- High School diploma or equivalent. BS degree preferred.
- Knowledge of or claims experience including safety, loss control, and claims management experience for workers compensation, liability and auto claims.
