    Job DescriptionSummaryPlans, directs and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate personnel.*This position qualifies for the NANA Worley Candidate Referral Program, available only to existing NANA Worley employees*Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesConfers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority.Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required.Prepares project reports for management, client or others.Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.Plans, investigates, and surveys structures and equipment to determine feasibility and options.Directs construction and maintenance activities at project site, including supervision of design personnel (i.e., engineers, designers, draftsmen) and subcontract personnel assigned to the project.Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.Manages contractual commitments for contractors including costs, quality, schedule, and field activities.Maintains quality of work in accordance with the standards specified in the design documents.Ensures construction materials are tested to meet quality assurance requirements of the design.Maintains effective communications and coordination between the client and the design engineer to ensure timeliness and accuracy.Inspects construction site to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction and safety standards.Prior experience with arctic North Slope construction activities.ResponsibilitiesConfers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority.Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required.Prepares project reports for management, client or others.Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.Plans, investigates, and surveys structures and equipment to determine feasibility and options.Directs construction and maintenance activities at project site, including supervision of design personnel (i.e., engineers, designers, draftsmen) and subcontract personnel assigned to the project.Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.Manages contractual commitments for contractors including costs, quality, schedule, and field activities.Maintains quality of work in accordance with the standards specified in the design documents.Ensures construction materials are tested to meet quality assurance requirements of the design.Maintains effective communications and coordination between the client and the design engineer to ensure timeliness and accuracy.Inspects construction site to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction and safety standards.Prior experience with arctic North Slope construction activities.QualificationsEducation/Experience:
    • Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant engineering field from an accredited institution,
    • Minimum two (2) years project engineering experience.
    Language Skills:Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals.Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
