- Become familiar with each project's specifications, drawings, permits, and contract terms.
- Identify subcontractors required for the project, get bids from subcontractors, and oversee the subcontractors who are selected to do the work.
- Identify and mitigate any health, safety, or environmental hazards.
- Provide leadership to the Field Engineering team and train them as needed.
- Ensure that the work is done safely and efficiently, and that is it compliant with quality and environmental standards.
- Interface with client representatives, client's design contractors, and client's field contractors.
- Perform job and task scheduling. Monitor workforce productivity / progress relative to the schedule.
- Develop the construction means & methods.
- Perform material take-offs and checks. Quote and requisition materials. Prioritize the material deliveries to the site.
- Assist the development and execution of Delta's Quality Control systems. Address any deficiencies identified by the QC/QA teams.
- Identify project gaps and discrepancies before they are an issue. Write requests for information (RFI's). Create Change Orders, Field Material Requests, and redlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Position will require working in Anchorage and/or deployment to the North Slope. The North Slope deployments may be irregular or may be rotational (such as 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off). Deployment schedules depend on employee preference and on each project's length.
- Transportation between Anchorage and the North Slope is provided. Housing, meals, FRC's, and transportation are provided while on the North Slope.
- If education is High School Diploma / GED: 6 years of experience in industrial construction or similar.
- If education is Associates or 2yr Technical Degree, in a relevant field: 4 years of experience in industrial construction or similar.
- If education is BS Degree or higher in a relevant field: 3 years of experience in industrial construction or similar.
- 1 year of above experience must involve Oil & Gas.
- Experience working in a cold weather environment (<20F)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Current and valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- NSTC certification with 2022 ASH and H2S module, or ability to obtain upon hire (1-day online course).
- Preference will be given for any of the following: living within commuting distance of Anchorage or the ability to move to this area, North Slope experience, Oil & Gas experience, BS in Engineering, EIT or PE registration, Electrical or Mechanical Administrator's license, PMP, P6 experience, WinEst experience.
- $155, $250,000.00 is typical annual equivalent.

- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally perform inspections at heights.

- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- Work is usually done at client job sites in the field, and occasionally performed in an office setting, with possible tasks being done in/at warehouse facilities.

The Project Engineer integrates the various engineering, scheduling, purchasing, construction, and turnover aspects of fabrication projects, in accordance with contractual obligations. Assumes responsibilities for the technical excellence of the construction portion of the projects across all disciplines.
