Director, Fundraising - New York, United States - Equi
Description
About EquiAt Equi, our mission is to bring people what we believe to be the most uncorrelated alternative investment opportunities. We have multiple fund of funds and focus on finding unidentified niche managers with $200M to $2B in AUM that have sustainable and differentiated investment strategies and the ability to generate enduring alpha.
We believe that true balance in any portfolio cannot be achieved without uncorrelated alternative investments. Equi is empowering investors to steadily compound wealth, regardless of the volatile market environment, making the financial journey more predictable and stable.
Balance your portfolio. Balance your life.
Our Values
Our culture is driven by the values we collectively share and live together:
Equi is looking for a seasoned Investor Relations professional to report directly to the CEO and help craft and execute our process for investor prospecting, outreach, and acquisition. You will be largely running the day to day operations of the sales team and be one of the key assets needed to grow our LP base. You'll have a hand in content creation, attend conferences, communicate with existing investors, pitch new investors, and do everything necessary to raise capital and grow our AUM. This is a hunter role, you'll be creative in how you get in front of prospective investors, including pensions, insurance, family offices, RIAs, and/or private wealth management firms/platforms.
This is not your first rodeo - you've likely worked in the hedge fund, family office or FinTech space before, and are familiar with advising RIAs, Family Offices, and/or HNW individuals on the purchase of alternative investment products (ie hedge funds, fund of funds, etc). You're interested in being part of a startup, and you know how to take an idea and work with others to transform it into reality. You're detail oriented, great at investor prospecting, and highly conscientious. You'll be expected to think critically, creatively, and "outside the box" as you work with others to build out Equi's sales process. Ideally, you're also familiar with best practices around email marketing and content.
Own: what is this person singularly responsible for?
Equi offers competitive salaries and benefits, which include:
