earliest possible date in the Department of Social Services of the Youth Office for a


Diploma in Social Work (m/f/d) or Diploma in Social Pedagogy (m/f/d)

in the field of adoption and foster care
to be filled for a temporary period of approximately one year as a replacement for a sick leave.

The position is to be filled with a weekly working time of
20 hours. Until December 31, 2023, there is the possibility to increase the weekly working time to
30 hours.


Your responsibilities include the following main areas:

  • Recruitment, selection, assessment of suitability and selection of foster parents
  • Placement of children in suitable foster families
  • Professional support, counseling and assistance for foster families, children and their birth families during fulltime foster care
  • Training of foster parents
  • Participation in proceedings before the family court
  • Procedures for granting foster care permits and performing other tasks of youth welfare according to the Social Code (SGB VIII)
