    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Director of Business Development position is pivotal in driving sales growth and establishing valuable partnerships with new and existing clients at FORTNA. This role involves understanding customer requirements, working closely with various teams to deliver tailored solutions, and prioritizing customer satisfaction as the ultimate goal.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop strategic plans and close on key opportunities
    • Identify and address customer needs in the parcel and government sectors
    • Create and execute sales strategies to expand current business and tap into new markets
    • Collaborate with internal teams to devise optimal client solutions
    • Utilize data to aid customer decision-making
    • Travel to client sites to engage and comprehend their needs
    • Effectively manage sales plan execution
    • Perform assigned duties efficiently

    Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

    • Thorough understanding of products, services, competition, and market trends
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving capabilities
    • Demonstrates initiative and independent work skills
    • Ability to influence and negotiate effectively
    • Proven leadership in project management and fostering collaboration
    • Skilled in tailoring communications to different audiences
    • Translate broad strategies into actionable goals
    • Make well-informed decisions considering various inputs

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree required, engineering or business background preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in Technical Sales
    • 3+ years experience in automated material handling or related fields
    • Willingness to travel as needed

    Work Environment:

    Role involves time in office settings and active construction sites, with potential exposure to noise and machinery. Personal protective equipment required onsite.

    Physical Demands:

    • Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing, lifting, etc.
    • Occasional lifting of up to 75lbs
    • Extended periods of standing/sitting required

    Other Relevant Information:

    This role may involve up to 60% travel. The salary range for the position is competitive.
