Director of Nursing
- Schedule:_ Monday
- Friday 7 am 3 pm and oncall as needed
- Reports to:_ CEO
- Qualifications_:
Required:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a license to practice in Massachusetts.
- Five years post graduate experience in a mental health/substance abuse setting
- Three years supervisory level experience providing direct supervision to nursing personnel. (May be waived at the discretion of the CEO.)
- Able to accept and respond to calls from answering service as needed.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Competent in Client-Centered and Trauma Informed principles of care
- Understanding of Medicated Assisted Treatment and the population that is served
- Essential Functions and Responsibilities_:
- Interview, hire, orient, and train all nursing staff.
- Provide weekly supervision to all nursing staff, including perdiem nurses.
- Complete annual evaluations on all nursing staff.
- Responsible for the operation of the dosing clinic and all nursing staff
- Medication dispensing responsibilities which include, but not limited to, reconciliation of methadone daily, monthly, and biannual, safe storage procedures.
- Maintains levels of nursing personnel, and coordinates with full time and per diem staff to ensure adequate coverage of all nursing shifts.
- Reviews with Medical Director/Nurse Practitioner all dose change requests and implements appropriate changes.
- Develop and update policies and procedures for all nursing practices.
- Maintain inventory of, and order methadone as needed, following state and federal regulations.
- Review, report, and sign off on dose discrepancies and incident reporting.
- Oversee dosing procedures for MMTP and 180 Day Detox Programs.
- Attend weekly Management and Interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Assist with the implementation of all Lighthouse policies, including training of all nursing staff on procedures.
- Perform other administrative duties as may be requested by the CEO.
- Respond as needed to patient acute care needs.
- Assist in mediating conflicts between patients and medical staff.
- Prepare and submit monthly DEA audit reports to the CEO.
- Provide on call coverage.
- Oversee the progress and productivity of staff through monthly staff meetings and ongoing supervision.
- Attend scheduled Intake Committee meetings.
- Coordinate with the Clinical Director to schedule monthly in service trainings for entire staff.
- Assist the CEO with COA requirements, and onsite DEA and State Inspections.
- Provide PQI support and data as requested
Pay:
$100, $115,000.00 per year
