- Follows proper accounting policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and processes.
- Compile and analyze basic financial information to prepare general ledger journal entries in support of the period end close, assisting in the resolution of any issues identified.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations, assisting in the resolution of any issues identified.
- Assist with the month end close process to meet internal timelines.
- Assist in invoice and payment processing.
- Review, document, and assist manager in the implementation of accounting policies, process improvements, and internal control procedures.
- Support efforts to streamline and improve the expense report financial reporting cycle..
- Track and develop/improve customer payments and chargebacks.
- Prepare monthly analytical reports and track key performance indicators for leadership
- Assist with monthly and yearly financial statement preparation and analysis
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as requested.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum 1+ years of professional experience in Accounting or Finance required. 2+ years of experience preferred.
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong work ethic; well-organized and self-motivated
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) preferred.
- Experience with Epicor or similar ERP system (SAP, Oracle, etc.) preferred
- Manufacturing experience is preferred
- A basic understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis
