    Eclipse is seeking a Director of Finance and Control to join our growing team and own finance and accounting to support the rapid growth of our business.

    As Eclipse's first in-house finance hire, you will have the unique opportunity to directly impact Eclipse's financial forecasting, reporting, accounting, and treasury standards and implement enhancements to our systems.

    This position is an essential part of the team, with significant visibility in the company.

    You will be responsible for maintaining statutory compliance with taxes and audit requirements while ensuring that our revenues, vendor bills, and other company expenses are properly invoiced, collected, and reported.

    This role will manage the company's cash flow to properly fund all business activities.

    Who are you?

    8+ Relevant years of Finance and Accounting experience working in start-up companies; Bachelor's or Master's in - Finance or Accounting; CPA is a bonus.

    Experience in consumer packaged goods required.
    Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closing, reporting, etc.) Solid knowledge of GAAP is required.
    Deep experience with QuickBooks, G-Suite, Excel, and Microsoft Office required.

    Constantly question the status quo and believe there is always a way we can continuously improve and be more efficient with resources.

    Data-driven and goal-oriented, you measure success both quantitatively and qualitatively, and understand the importance of both.

    Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills; ability to interact with and clearly present financial results to all levels of management and stakeholders with a maniacal attention to detail.

    What will you do?
    Work directly with the CEO and own forecasting, analyzing, and monitoring all financial activity at Eclipse.
    Lead and manage accounting operations in collaboration with our external financial management partner.
    Develop and maintain all necessary accounting policies and controls, ensuring that records are maintained in accordance with GAAP.
    Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, and preparation of financial statements. Provide meaningful analysis and insights on results, variances, and trends.
    Manage AP/AR, employee reimbursement, company credit card & payment processes. Recommend and implement the right controls.
    Collaborate with the supply chain team on inventory management and cost accounting. Simplify inventory tracking for accounting needs.
    Collaborate with functional heads on budgets, annual plans, and monthly reporting.

    Work with external accountants to ensure tax compliance and prepare corporate federal & state filings, ensuring we stay in compliance with sales tax requirements; own annual audit process.

    Model and foster the culture, values, and mission of Eclipse
    Reporting into the Cofounder & CEO, this is a full-time position with preference for local candidates.

    Our headquarters are located in Oakland, CA, and we offer free on-site parking, vegan snacks, team lunch on Fridays, unlimited PTO, and unlimited coffee.
