    ***LOOKING FOR A CERTIFIED REVENUE CYCLE SPECIALIST II***

    Main Responsibility

    The Revenue Cycle Specialist II will support the Revenue Cycle Director and the Revenue Cycle Manager in operations.

    Main Tasks

    • Support the Revenue Cycle Director in overseeing operations, including:

    • • The monthly report of un-dropped charges in the doctors' report.
    • • Unapplied credit balances.
    • • Patient payment refund.
    • • Insurance verification for newborn hospital encounters.
    • • Report on newborn hospital encounters.
    • • Verification of Medicaid eligibility.

    • Support the Revenue Cycle Director in supervising staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness of their tasks, specifically, reviewing work on:

    • • Verify MBCHC patients' insurance coverage for next-day appointments or walk-ins.
    • • Providing training to MBCHC staff on effective insurance verification as needed.
    • • The Insurance Verification reference sheet that outlines instructions by insurance plans.
    • • Collection projects.

    • Support the Revenue Cycle Director in reviewing the denials and rejections of insurance claims to identify patterns.

    • Support the Revenue Cycle Director in finding ways to reduce or eliminate insurance rejections and denials.

    • Support the Revenue Cycle Director with the duties related to human resource functions.

    • Support the Revenue Cycle Director in training staff on finance functions as necessary.

    • Support the Revenue Cycle Director in figuring out how to maximize cash flow while enhancing internal and external customer relationships.

    • Support the Revenue Cycle Director as a key resource in all billing matters.

    2. Professional and Technical Expertise

    • 2.1. Understanding of insurance company practices concerning reimbursement and healthcare receivables.
    • 2.2. Minimum 1 year experience at a federally qualified health center

    3. Technical Abilities

    • 3.1. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
    • 3.2. Skilled in clerical and numerical tasks for creating drafts and documents from data.
    • 3.3. Ability to generate letters, forms, and documents.

    4. Communication Proficiency

    • 4.1. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
    • 4.2. Capable of explaining complex concepts clearly to a broad audience.

    We are particularly interested in candidates with extensive experience in insurance verifications and a solid grasp of various insurance carriers.
