    Job Description:

    Soliant is currently seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a full-time contract position in the Central South Carolina area for the school year. We are open to candidates with out-of-state licenses. Interviews and offers will be conducted this week, providing a quick hiring process for qualified candidates.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments
    • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
    • Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student success
    • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine eligibility and service needs
    • Adapt and modify curriculum to ensure accessibility for students with visual impairments
    • Utilize assistive technology and other resources to support student learning
    • Advocate for the needs of students with visual impairments within the school community
    • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development activities

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors or Masters degree in Visual Impairment Education or a related field
    • Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
    • Experience working with students who are visually impaired, preferably in a school setting
    • Strong knowledge of assistive technology and Braille
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
    • Open to candidates with out-of-state licenses
