    Overview

    Lovelace Health System (LHS) has been dedicated to supporting the healthcare needs of the Albuquerque community since 1912. LHS consists of various hospitals, medical centers, and institutes providing quality services to the community. With a total of 613 licensed beds, LHS plays a vital role in the healthcare sector.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Responsible for overseeing the strategic, operational, and personnel activities of the Case Management department. Ensures compliance with standards set by accrediting and regulatory bodies. Manages budgets, supervises staff, and maintains quality services. Acts as a liaison, upholding policies and regulations for patient safety.

    Responsibilities

    • Directs and administers activities of the case management department to meet accrediting standards.
    • Manages patient care plans and communicates effectively with families.
    • Represents the organization at community and business meetings, fostering relationships.
    • Handles special projects and assignments, ensuring completion.
    • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional service.
    • Meets budget requirements for assigned areas.
    • Mentors and educates team members to achieve goals.
    • Develops policies and strategies aligned with organizational objectives.

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, business, or related field required; Master's Degree preferred
    • Five (5) years of case management experience, including three (3) years in a managerial role
    • Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license, or current Case Management Certificate/Fellowship Status
    • Requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities in patient confidentiality, management, organization, and communication
