In the forming technology department, we provide forming technology consulting to customers - primarily from the automotive industry - on site, as well as determining material processing parameters and coordinating between forming processes/methods and materials.

This interface between material development and processing at the customer offers interesting and challenging areas of work, not least due to our investment in the latest equipment technology (such as a 1000t try-out press).


Your tasks:


  • Conducting forming experiments for material characterization, including process and tool adjustments
  • Development, design, and optimization of test tools
  • Component testing with our customers
  • Conducting forming analyses to optimize material usage and forming processes
  • Participation in the realization of lightweight steel solutions (highstrength steels, tailored blanks, warm forming...)

Your profile:


  • Studying mechanical engineering/materials science (university/technical college) at least in the 4th semester
