    Feline exclusive practice in greater Philadelphia seeking an experienced, compassionate veterinarian to join our team

The Cat Doctor is a full -service medical and surgical facility exclusively for cats Established in 1983 in the Art Museum area, the hospital has served the Philadelphia community well for over thirty years providing excellent comprehensive and compassionate care. Besides working exclusively with the best animal species EVER, you will be working with simply amazing cat- loving clients.

    Stretching from City Hall to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Philadelphia's grand tree-lined Benjamin Franklin Parkway is flanked by some of the city's most acclaimed destinations. Visitors to the Parkway Museums District will discover a cultural mecca with world-class museums and educational institutions, the magnificent Swann Memorial Fountain, Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul on Logan Square and the world famous "Rocky" steps. Treasures and discoveries abound on (and just a few blocks off) the Parkway

    The Cat Doctor strives to offer the highest quality feline health care in a warm and welcoming environment. Our goal is to provide state-of-the-art medicine for our clients and patients through the skilled and compassionate hands of our dedicated team members, with particular emphasis on performing sound laboratory and imaging diagnostics, minimizing patient stress, and alleviation of pain and discomfort. We encourage open, honest communication with our clients, allowing them to make informed decisions about their cat's care and participate in their cat's well-being.

    The Cat Doctor is also proud to be certified as a Cat Friendly Practice by the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) at the Gold Status. This certification reflects our consideration of the unique needs of cats in the waiting and examination rooms, the care we take in handling our feline patients, the attitude and knowledge of our staff and the comfort and concern we show for cats and their owners.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Builds a rapport with clients
    • Communicates with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, nutritional needs and preventative treatment
    • Performs physical exams and diagnostic-surgical-medical and dental procedures that delivers the highest quality care
    • Stays current with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine
    • Maintains client-patient medical/surgical records
    • Assists in the development of our team to ensure the highest quality of care and exceptional customer service

    Qualifications:

    • DVM/VMD degree
    • Licensure in good standing in state of PA or ability to become licensed in PA
    • Experienced Veterinarian preferred
    • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication
    • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine
    • Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients
    • Commitment to ongoing educational growth
