    Job Description

    Job DescriptionWELDERS
    Welders are required to be safety minded, highly productive experts who can cut, fit, and tack weld all parts of heat exchangers, vessels, and towersKnowledge, skills and abilities
    1. Must be a highly safety-oriented individual
    2. Minimum of 5 years' experience welding pressure vessels or heat exchanger components
    3. Extensive knowledge of welding with SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW & SAW thermal processes in the manufacturing of various types of pressure vessels and heat exchangers
    4. Ability to pass a weld qualification for each process
    5. Ability to read prints for both required specifications as well as dimensions
    6. Ability to weld within the parameters of a WPS/PQR
    7. Ability to be proficient in arc gouging process
    8. Ability to be a self-motivated and highly productive employee who requires minimal supervision and who can efficiently execute a plan to make jobs happen on time within the hours given
    9. Ability to be a team player who can work well with others to achieve company goals
    10. Ability to consistently maintain less than a 5% X-Ray repair rate
    11. Ability to be efficient at fixing X-Ray and UT repairs
    12. Ability to recognize and rectify sub-standard welds to ensure product quality
    13. Ability to be punctual and dependent with a willingness to work hours outside of a standard schedule when required to achieve a task or complete a project
    14. Must be willing to step outside of welding role when a company need arises and perform basic tasks such as cylinder fit-ups or other minor tasks
    15. Ability to be a team player and be a company-oriented individual who takes pride in their work
    Physical requirementsThis position will be exposed to welding fumes and gases, and dust from grinder: use of PPE imperative. Work area is not climate controlled so extreme heat/cold may be experienced.
    1. Must be able to safely lift fifty pounds
    2. Ability to work in a shop environment in all seasons
    3. Ability to safely enter into and work productively in confined spaces of an exchanger or vessel
    4. Ability to safely tie off and work from elevated heights on top of exchanger or vessel
