Position Summary:


We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented QA/QC Inspector I & II - Weld & Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of welded components and structures in accordance with industry standards and project specifications.

Additionally, you will perform quality inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to maintain high-quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of welded components and structures.
  • Perform nondestructive testing (NDT) such as radiographic testing (RT), ultrasonic testing (UT), and magnetic particle testing (MT).
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and welding procedures to verify compliance.
  • Monitor welding processes and procedures to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Document inspection results, maintain records, and prepare inspection reports.
  • Communicate with project managers, engineers, and welders to address quality issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Participate in welder qualification testing and welding procedure qualification testing as required.
  • Provide guidance and support to welders and other personnel to improve welding quality and performance.
  • Perform quality inspections on incoming materials, inprocess production, and finished products.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Conduct quality audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate Coordinate measuring machine (CMM) operation for accurate measurements.
  • Implement and maintain quality management systems.
  • Adhere to CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) and FDA regulations.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues promptly.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from the American Welding Society (AWS) required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a QA/QC Inspector in the welding industry.
  • Proven experience in quality inspection, QA/QC, or related field.
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures and standards.
  • Proficiency in interpreting welding symbols, codes, and standards (e.g., AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX).
  • Experience with nondestructive testing (NDT) techniques such as RT, UT, MT, and visual inspection.
  • Strong understanding of welding processes, techniques, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of CGMP and FDA regulations.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance and quality control principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Experience and Background:


  • Experience in conducting inspections and tests in accordance with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Background in performing nondestructive testing (NDT) and interpreting inspection results.
  • Previous experience working in the oil and gas, petrochemical, or construction industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and ISO 9001 standards is a plus.
