BUSINESS UNIT:
TERMINALS Kinder Morgan is the largest independent terminal operator in North America, providing a strong, reliable network of 144 terminals serving our customers' storage, distribution, blending and logistical needs.
Our terminals store and handle renewable fuels, petroleum products, chemicals, vegetable oils and other products.We have a combined liquids storage capacity of approximately 151 million barrels and handle about 59 million tons of dry bulk materials annually.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Diagnose problems and maintain a variety of material bulk handling equipment.
Assists and work with the Technician (Maintenance Technician) to diagnose and repair electrical control functions, system logic and mechanical failure issues involving conveyor operation.
Assist in the transportation and movement of mechanical bulk handling equipment.Assembles and installs equipment such as drive motors, conveyors, and pulley assemblies.
Perform certified stick welding and/or cutting torch operations as needed.
Aligns machines and equipment for proper operation.
Assembles machines, and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures.
Repairs and lubricates material bulk handling machines and equipment.
Examines protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices on equipment, and makes adjustments.
Operates a variety of equipment such as cutting torch, welder, forklift, hand tools and electric meters.
Lubricates moving parts, examines and operates repaired equipment to verify equipment conformance to specifications.
Performs activities of co-workers as directed.
Take direction and report to direct supervisor (Terminal Maintenance Supervisor).
As a member of the general maintenance crew, perform duties pertaining to the maintenance crew; grease/lubricating bearings, rollers, ship loader, belts, O/H crane bucket, crane cable repairs etc.
Vessel loading operations are a critical part of our operations at this terminal. You will be required to assist in such operations.Willingly train and operate all of the terminals equipment and perform the duties and responsibilities of the terminal's Maintenance positions such as Skid Steers, Excavator, Tele handler, Man Lift and Ship Loading Operations for progression.

In order to appropriately perform the essential duties of this job, regular work attendance is required.
If required must be able to perform shift work, rotating day/night.
You will be subject to the on-call schedule and must respond to emergency call outs as scheduledPerform housekeeping and general maintenance as requiredOperates equipment in a safe and efficient mannerUtilize proper Personal Protective Equipment for the assigned tasks and report damaged protective equipment and unsafe conditions to Terminal SupervisorMust be self-motivated and self-starter.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, ECT:
Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers and must be willing to use personal and/or company vehicle in the course of employment.
obtain and maintain a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC).Must be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol test along with a Hair follicle test.
Must possess Safety training/certification as required by customers to work in their facilities and as required by Kinder Morgan at all locationsMust be able to complete/pass DISA/ISTC background check and testing for entrance into refinery.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to lift 70 poundsPREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE: 2-5 years of experience with Heavy Equipment, Conveying Equipment and material handling systems.
