    Summary

    CHS has an exciting opportunity at our Government Affairs office in Washington, DC.

    We are looking for a college student, or graduate student to join our team in the Nation's Capital for a policy internship.

    You must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and be interested in agriculture or energy policy.

    Responsibilities


    You will:

    • Assist the Government Affairs team in advocating for CHS and its farmer owners in Washington, DC.
    • Help schedule, prepare and attend meetings with Members of Congress, Congressional staff, and other decision makers at federal agencies.
    • Work on a trade association project to enhance our relationships with CHS trade associations for both our agriculture and energy businesses.
    • Help organize and prepare for business leader fly-ins to Washington, DC.
    Minimum Qualifications (required)


    • Education: College junior or older
    • Years of experience: Entry level
    • Skill set: Ability to manage a schedule, strong organization skills, and ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel and Teams
    • Strong interpersonal skills and desire to work collaboratively
    • Interest in government
    CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions.

    Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications.
