    Nutanix is combining its industry-leading software defined storage technologies with open source Cloud Native storage solutions to build the best-in-breed data management service for stateful containerized applications.

    We are seeking a Staff Engineer to join our NDK team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our cloud-native storage solutions.

    The NDK (Nutanix Data Kubernetes) represents a significant milestone for Nutanix, providing critical data management capabilities for stateful containerized applications in a hybrid/multi-cloud environment.

    We are searching for a highly skilled Staff Engineer with 12+ years of experience building and shipping production-grade services.

    You possess a deep understanding of distributed systems development with an ability to consider trade-offs while building clustered, high-performance, fault-tolerant systems.

    Your passion for innovation is evident in your entrepreneurial spirit, taking ownership of features from conception to completion while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

    You will join an impactful, fast-moving cloud native team. You will be required to deliver features end to end while mentoring a team of 3-4 engineers. Ensuring the right performance, scale and availability will be one of the top priorities of the role.

    Your Role
    Develop a good understanding of Cloud Native Storage technologies including Disaster Recovery and Backup.
    Software feature and unit test development for storage and data protection solutions for containerized applications.
    Setup and deploy complex stateful application and data management solutions in a containerized environment.
    Collaborate with the geo-distributed team to own and deliver projects end-to-end with high quality and predictability.
    Strong Distributed Systems development and architecting skills.
    Design tradeoffs in building clustered, high-performance, fault-tolerant distributed systems software.
    Entrepreneurial spirit - ability to start, execute, finish and own the feature while maintaining a high-quality bar.

    What You Will Bring
    BS/MS degree in Computer science or equivalent
    12+ years experience in building and shipping production-grade services.
    Knowledge of building microservices based applications.
    Hands-on development in at least one of the programming languages: Golang, Python, Java/C++
    Strong development experience in Linux/Unix OS platform
    Hands-on experience working with version control / DevOps tools - Git, Gerrit, or Jenkins

    He has a wealth of knowledge from working with top companies like Microsoft, where he contributed to the development of products like Windows, Bing, and Skype.

    How We Work:
    We have a diverse team that is split between India and the US. We have a hybrid work model, where team members come into the office three times a week. This setup allows for both in-person collaboration and the flexibility of remote work.


    The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 172,000 and USD $ 344,400 per year.

    However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

    The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.

    Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.


    If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
