Description

Responsibilities:
Providing software support and application of vehicle functionalities during race/test and driving simulator events at Smith Corner
Providing 1st-level support for all software-related issues in the Operations Room in Weissach during races
Developing motorsport-specific software using Matlab Simulink
Continuously improving Formula E-specific drive, vehicle, and MMI functions
Reviewing and evaluating functional requirements
Testing functional changes on the HiL test bench
Debugging software on the target, HiL, test bench, driving simulator, and vehicle
Optimizing race-specific processes and calibration procedures


Requirements:
Experience in software development in motorsport or Formula Student
Expertise in Matlab Simulink
Experience with 12V and control system development
Passion for motorsport
Ability to work under pressure
Team player
Strong communication skills with colleagues and project stakeholders
Quick learner
Ability to quickly adapt to unfamiliar software
Structured work approach and continuous drive for improvement
Experience in track support as a systems or software engineer preferred
Willingness to work weekends (including time zone differences) for race support in the Operations Room in Weissach
Excellent English and German skills.
