    At Cultura, together with the ten agrifood software companies in our portfolio, we are looking to build an ecosystem of leading software companies that span the global agrifood supply chain and help make the agrifood supply chain more resilient.

    Acquisitions of mature agrifood software companies that fit this strategic need is at the core of achieving this goal. M&A Business Development (BD) responsibilities represent the front-end of Cultura's acquisition activities.

    Business Development resources are responsible for establishing contacts, building relationships with CEOs and owners of agrifood software companies across the globe, and nurturing those relationships until they are ready to consider their options.

    We are looking for a driven, results-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills and a curious nature to join our M&A team.


    Job Description:


    Demonstrating creativity, persistence, and credibility in reaching out to Owners, Operators and C-Suite leadershipInitiating and maintaining relationships with owners of software businesses, M&A brokers and investment banks.

    You will be their first and primary point of contact throughout the M&A journey.

    Obtaining high-level financial and operational information and updating our proprietary Salesforce databaseGathering, analyzing, and presenting target company information to the M&A team and company executivesMaintaining and building a proprietary database of industry contactsManage and expand an existing prospect funnel of opportunitiesConducting industry research to support business development activitiesIdentifying leads for vertical market software businesses meeting our strategic criteria and specific metricsSearching in Salesforce for lead opportunitiesUpdating Salesforce with your, as well as other team members notes, plus the latest market data to secure the accountsSupporting the M&A team on other business development related projectsKey competenciesAmbitious with a drive to succeed and drive through resultsExcellent rapport building skills with the ability to build relationships quickly at all levels including C-suiteInquisitive and curious by natureEnergetic self-starterHighly ethical standards personally and professionallyKnowledge or qualifications required3-5 years' experience, ideally in an M&A business development or enterprise sales roleUndergraduate degree in finance or business, MBA would be advantageousSoftware / Technology sector experience is a plus.
