    The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

    At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

    Pay Range: $93, $140,100.00

    About the Role:

    Responsible for performing a wide-range of budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, business decision support and financial reporting efforts for assigned organizations within the University.

    What You'll Do:

    • Manage university-wide annual budget process, including planning templates, models, calendars, etc.
    • Run point on the monthly forecast process, ensuring the process runs smoothly and stakeholders are aware of deadlines and expectations.
    • Actively monitor university-wide forecast to ensure accuracy and consistency and understand reasons for departures from plan.
    • Provide insightful analysis and written commentary to Executive Team and Board of Governors monthly, quarterly, and annually.
    • Assist in the ongoing development and maintenance of the forecasting/budgeting tool, Workday Adaptive Planning.
    • Track and investigate university-wide financial trends and events.
    • Make recommendations and assist leaders to make timely and appropriate business decisions.
    • Assist in designing, developing, and monitoring expense allocations (departments, colleges, programs, courses, etc.)
    • Help design, implement, and maintain better financial analysis, reporting and inquiry tools.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    • Able to organize, coordinate and direct projects and to lead innovative, strategic initiatives.
    • Strong knowledge of best financial analysis practices, tools, and techniques.

    • Strong oral and written communication skills in working with senior organization leaders.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business management
    • 6-10 years of relevant financial experience

    Preferred Requirements:

    • MBA strongly preferred.
    • Advanced degree or equivalent in finance-related field (CPA, CFA, CMA, etc.)
