Position Summary
The Department of Pediatrics seeks to hire a clinical instructor to join the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (GPAM) at the University of North Carolina.
This position will work closely with the Section Heads of General Pediatrics, Child Maltreatment as well as Adolescent Medicine within GPAM.
This position is fixed term position appointed in the School of Medicine at UNC Chapel Hill with FTE between 0.5 and 1.0.
Clinical efforts may include a combination of the following:
As a clinical instructor, this person will join a program that includes board certified general pediatricians, child abuse pediatricians, adolescent medicine specialists, nurse practitioners, LCSWs.
A percentage of this position will involve medical education and supervision of advanced practice providers; a successful applicant will have a history demonstrating expertise in this set of skills.
The GPAM division is one of the largest divisions in the Department of Pediatrics and in addition to Primary Care, Complex Care, Adolescent Medicine, Developmental Behavioral health, and Child Abuse pediatrics.
The division has a nationally known and productive research program and faculty in addition to a long record of teaching excellence.
The Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area of North Carolina is an attractive place to live and work with great climate, schools, and both mountains and beach within a day drive.
M.D.; Board certified/eligible in Pediatrics.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Clinical experience or training in outpatient and inpatient settings. Experience in medical education and/or contributions to academic scholarship.
