Typical Day in the RolePurpose of the Team:
The purpose of this team is to write requirements to design, build, and validate software applications across different product groups.
Key projects:
This role will contribute multiple projects with different product groups, that last 2-3 weeks per product area. Each project will involve spec writing, UAT, and stakeholder collaboration.
Unique Selling Points:
This role provides ongoing learning, and the impact of this work will be seen in the real world after it has gone to market.
Candidate RequirementsYears of Experience Required: 8 overall years of experience in the field.
Degrees or certifications required:
No degree is required to be eligible for this role, but degree/certifications in relevant areas are preferred.
Disqualifiers:
Candidates with multiple short contracts (less than 3 months), no spec writing experience included with resume (example of their writing MUST be included with submittal), have resume errors/poor formatting, or an overall unwillingness to learn will not be eligible for the role.
Average:
The ideal resume would contain more than 8 years of experience, a variety of spec writing, heavy experience with UAT, a variety of certifications/tooling experience, more than 1 included example of the candidates spec writing, and some experience with business analysts type skills.
Performance Indicators:
Performance will be assessed based on quality of work and deadlines.

The assessment process will include a 30 minute screening with sponsor or team member, may have a second round if needed.
Required Candidate Preparation:

Responsibilities will include:
In this role, contractors will be responsible for writing Requirements for the Compete Match Tool (CMT), which the team uses to compare Azure pricing with Amazon Web Services (AWS) published prices.
The contractor will work closely with our FTE Technical PM, Engineering team from another division, and business stakeholders to define requirements, manage delivery, manage UAT, and report on progress.
