- Manage the month-end closing process, which includes reviewing reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements.
- Supervise banking activities like account reconciliations and cash management.
- Oversee accounts payable processes, guaranteeing timely and accurate vendor payments.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and review account reconciliations.
- Supervise the customer billing process for completed projects, ensuring precise and prompt invoicing.
- Review customer billing tasks and provide support for required project billing.
- Review and approve accurate payroll calculations, deductions, and related reports for compliance and precision.
- Ensure prompt processing of payroll and accurately record related journal entries.
- Review and ensure precise reporting of sales tax and other tax obligations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management positions.
- Sound knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial reporting standards, and payroll regulations.
- Proficiency in NetSuite is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations, payroll processes, accounts payable, and customer billing activities. You will lead the accounting team, ensuring precise financial reporting, compliance, and optimal business functioning. Your collaboration with the Controller will be pivotal in supporting the company's financial objectives. This position is office-based and situated at our headquarters in Santa Barbara, CA.
