The following job/task functions have been identified as the core functions of this position. However, the supervisor or manager may assign additional duties associated with this position.

Designs and programs new control systems.
Modifies existing controls systems.
Modifies existing Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).
Assists maintenance in troubleshooting equipment.
Develops project specifications and installs new equipment.
Selects contractors to be used for special projects.
Make decisions regarding the assigning and specifying of control systems.
Analyze plant processes, design, and implement improvements.
Hands on experience with electrical wiring, debugging, control panels and programmable controllers (Allen Bradley, Factory Talk).
A strong understanding of mechanical systems and their interaction with controls.
Updates/creates electrical schematics.
Manipulate robots and other automated assembly equipment to streamline production.
Strong manufacturing background with heavy emphasis on production related controls experience.

Required Skills

Responsible for reading and understanding the TS16949 and ISO-14001 procedures located at K:/winapps/data/TS Team/Procedures
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five years plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Utilizes engineering principles in the process of determining the necessary work to be done with control systems. Works with technical personnel inside and outside Autokiniton Holland facility to accomplish specific engineering related tasks.
