    In this position...


    The Controls Engineer role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining systems to automate and enhance industrial processes for Battery Products. It requires a blend of electrical, mechanical, and software skills to ensure efficient production operations.


    Responsibilities


    What you'll do...
    • Support manufacturing process engineering during new product launches or capacity expansions.
    • Apply engineering principles to drive safety, quality, cost, and productivity improvements.
    • Analyze process bottlenecks, engage in constraint management, and optimize processes.
    • Lead root cause analysis of machine issues and develop corrective actions using structured problem-solving tools.
    • Program new installations of automation, machinery, and robots.
    • Assist in training manufacturing personnel and plant electricians.
    • Manage installation and maintenance of virus protection software for controls network PCs.
    • Work cooperatively with individuals of varying backgrounds and experience levels.
    • Manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
    • Be open to working in a rotating shift environment.
    • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
    Qualifications


    You'll have...
    • High school diploma or GED.
    • 2+ years of Controls Engineering experience.
    • Collaborative mindset and team-building attitude.
    • Proficiency in various programming software and control systems.
    • Experience with automation and machinery installations.
    Even better, you may have...
    • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
    • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
    • Understanding of networking and different manufacturing processes.
    • Proficiency in MS Office.
