The Hanseatic City of Wipperfürth is currently seeking two employees (m/f/d) for the intermunicipal construction yard Wipperfürth/Hückeswagen, with a focus on green maintenance.

(39 hours/week)
This is a permanent position and a substitute position, initially limited until July 31, 2024. However, the goal is to transfer to a permanent employment relationship.


Your responsibilities
The main tasks include all activities related to the maintenance of municipal green and park areas, as well as municipal roads and playgrounds


These include in particular:

  • Maintenance, mowing, and pruning work in green and park areas, as well as on playgrounds in the city area
  • Pruning of roadside greenery
  • Tree care work (possibly using a cherry picker)
  • New plantings, such as creating smaller shrub and ground cover areas, as well as planting new street trees
  • Removal of litter and waste from green and park areas
  • Varied tasks and work areas


Participation in winter service on municipal roads and paths (with a vehicle or manual clearing) including on-call duty is required.


In the interest of flexible operations, the transfer of tasks related to maintenance and repair of infrastructure facilities is also possible.


The scope of duties also includes pre- and post-work preparation, including maintenance of equipment and machinery, as well as work documentation.
