Simpson, NC is the world's largest sports movement for people with intellectual and multiple disabilities. In addition to sports, we also offer health and education programs. We are currently seeking a part-time employee or student assistant for our BeuGe project. The position is for 10 hours per week, starting on January 1, 2023 and ending on December 31, 2023.


Responsibilities:

  • Expanding and maintaining the project's network
  • Conducting information sessions about the project
  • Recruiting individuals with intellectual disabilities as movement and health experts (BGE) and suitable support persons
  • Organizing and accompanying training sessions for BGE
  • Supporting BGE activities in the "Living" and "Leisure" environments
  • Reporting on the project's progress

Qualifications:

  • Empathy and understanding for the unique requirements of working with and for people with intellectual disabilities
  • Experience and willingness to build networks
  • Interest in the health sector
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and ability to work independently
  • Reliability and teamwork skills
