Salary:
$ 19.50-$20.00 DOE

EMPLOYEE OWNER POSITION PURPOSE:


The Irrigation Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for maintaining the irrigation system in the assigned area and to serve as back-up for other irrigator(s) as needed.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Check irrigation supply system, pumps, and well pump readings daily
  • Troubleshoot and report any problems observed with well pump or related equipment to Supervisor or General Manager
  • Regularly check irrigation coverage to ensure all areas within assigned area of responsibility receive adequate water supply, and to prevent overwatering
  • Maintain a supply of irrigation parts and supplies in assigned vehicle
  • Complete irrigation work orders daily
  • Maintain a clean work area, tools, and equipment
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Experience in property irrigation maintenance ? with generally between 45 years of experience
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; intermediate skills a plus
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and address timesensitive issues
  • Superior multitasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to provide highlevel customer service with astute attention to detail and organization
  • Must be a team player
  • Ability to manage workflow amid shifting priorities
  • Willing to learn Company process and procedures, and learn/use proprietary software
  • Adaptable and dependable with a solid attendance record
  • Professional and respectful demeanor with all internal and external customers at all times

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


  • Must have and maintain a valid driver?s license, vehicle insurance, and driving record in compliance with Company policy

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Use standard office equipment, including: computer, phone, copier/scanner, etc.
  • Use standard maintenance equipment, including: vehicles, power equipment, hand tools, etc.
  • Relocate up to (50) pounds
  • Be stationary or in motion for periods of time
  • Travel to and from offsite locations

SCHEDULE & TRAVEL:


  • Monday-Friday from approx.
6:00 am-2:30 pm

  • This position may require occasional long hours to meet business needs, including being available for emergency needs
