Job Summary

Essential Functions

  • Conduct and/or analyze experiments in line with the overall research goals of the lab and funded projects.
  • Prepare scientific reports and drafts of manuscripts (papers / grants).
  • Help develop new techniques.
  • Support training of new students or junior trainees in basic lab techniques.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a PhD or Doctorate in Biological Sciences / Neuroscience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' postdoctoral experience in a neurobiology or translational neuroscience setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Time management and organization skills.
  • Highest work ethic standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Selflearner and motivated.
  • Strong quantitative abilities.
  • Proven success working independently or as a member of a team.
  • Experience working with rodent animal models.
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture.
  • Goaloriented and attention to details.

Physical Requirements

  • Typically sitting at a desk/table.
  • Typically standing, walking.
  • Lifting Demands <25lbs.
  • Typically bending, crouching, stooping.
