    Position Title Temporary Youth Programs Specialist About the University Western Washington University, with over 16,000 students in seven colleges and the graduate school, is nationally recognized for its educational programs, students and faculty.

    About the Position This will be a support position for the expansion of youth programs for summer 2024.

    This position will support & assist the Intramural and Youth Programs coordinator in administrative duties for summer camps, assist in planning and facilitation of summer camp programs, and will act as a substitute summer camp counselor as needed.

    Required Qualifications


    • Experience working with and supervising groups of children
    • Ability to oversee up to 10 children at one time
    • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
    • Demonstrate multicultural competence or desire to learn about different cultures
    • Ability to multitask with attention to detail
    • Demonstrate enthusiasm and a positive attitude
    • Ability to actively engage in group games and recreational activities
    • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and handle conflict

    Salary

    $ $23.30/hour depending on qualifications and experience.
