Our team supports a combined fleet of ships sailing to Alaska each summer, lodges and hotels, luxury motor coaches and domed rail cars for the best Alaska experience available. **_Responsibilities:_**

+ Prepare and produce food per Company recipes and specifications on a kitchen line and prep area in a fast-paced environment.

+ Food preparation and stocking workstation to ensure success for business demands.

+ Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all work and storage spaces.

+ Stock kitchen, organize product, inspect food quality

+ Complete food safety protocols and logs with assistance and direction from management.

+ Contribute effectively to a positive guest experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.

**_Requirements:_**

+ High school completion or equivalent certification. Culinary school and/or relevant experience preferred.

+ Must have or be able to obtain an Alaska Food Handler Card.

+ Pass a pre-employment background check.

+ Participates in HAPs sustainability program, aka Sustain Alaska & the Yukon, and efforts by actively recycling (where available), reducing waste, and educating guests about our commitment to the environment.

+ Participate in HAPs safety culture to ensure a safe workplace for all team members and a safe vacation experience for all guests.

+ Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service to all guests, coworkers, and vendors.

+ Dedicated commitment to a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment.

+ Must be eligible to work in the United States. **Holland America-Princess** is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).

**_Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:_**

+ Working knowledge of commercial kitchen operations.

+ Ability to prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment. You must also have the ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain attention to detail and accuracy, supervise and manage staff.

+ Ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.

+ Ability to communicate, coordinate and collaborate with multiple departments, management, and staff.

+ Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.

+ Must be able to lift 50 lbs./23 kg, work around hot kitchen equipment safely, and stand/walk for long periods of time
