Description

Azusa Solutions is seeking a Senior Cloud DBA to join our team of talented consultants. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company comprised of highly qualified, highly impactful, and multi-talented individuals. *This position offers options for working from home.

Candidates with a current Top Secret clearance and who are local to Washington DC, Maryland, or Northern Virginia only need apply.

Position Summary:

Provide functional and/or technical expertise to plan, analyze, define and support the delivery of future functional and technical capabilities for an application or group of applications.

Assist in facilitating impact assessment efforts and in producing and reviewing estimates for client work requests. Administer over 30 AWS RDS databases running Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSFT SQL Server, and MySQL in multiple AWS accounts.

Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including account management, AWS Data migration services (DMS) design and implementation for inter-database synchronization, backup/recovery, disaster recovery testing, and configuration management.

Manage database management systems (DBMS) on AWS and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Advanced AWS RDS experience with Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, and MS SQL Servers that includes but not limited to:

Deploying multi-AZ RDS systems with high performance
Performance tuning with AWS Performance Insights
Integrating Oracle Enterprise Manager for performance monitoring
Designing AWS Data Migration Services jobs for data synch between databases
Database Encryption at rest and in transit
Configuring the parameter groups
Managing IP traffic using a security group
Auditing the database log files
Maintenance and management activities
Planning backup and recovery strategies
User management
Monitoring the database Technical Skills, Education, and

Experience Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer related discipline
Minimum of 7 years experience
Expert in Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS)
Advance experience in AWS Relational Database Service (RDS)
Advance experience as an Oracle DBA
Advance experience in PostgreSQL Administration

Intermediate experience with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) Clearance:
Active/current Top Secret clearance required.
