    Requirements:
    Experience in the design of roadways, runways and drainage for NMDOT (or other DOT clients) with the ability to assist in analyses, developing calculations, and preparing contract documents (PS&E) in accordance with state and local agency requirements
    Perform geometric engineering design from preliminary to final design
    Coordinate with project staff, other disciplines and sub-consultants, Department, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
    Manage and maintain project documentation, including meeting project schedules, budgets, and scope


    Qualifications:
    B.S. in Civil Engineering is required
    EIT is required, PE eligible
    1-3 years of experience in civil engineering with an emphasis on roadway and/or bridge design and plan preparation on transportation projects for DOT clients, NMDOT experience is a plus
    Experience with design software. Experience in Microstation and OpenRoads designer is a plus
    Candidate will work a hybrid schedule.

    Work Environment

    The physical requirements must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, stoop, crawl, and lifting. The employee must frequently lift and/or move light equipment up to 50 pounds.

    Must be alert to equipment in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
