Division of Information Technology Services

This position is responsible for implementing network communications and solution improvements, proposing and implementing system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the computer network.

This position is responsible for monitoring network resources in a multi-campus network infrastructure.
Deploy and configure wired and wireless local network infrastructure including routers, switches, wireless controllers, access points, phone systems (VoIP), DNS, DHCP, VPN and firewalls/NGFW
Design and plan moderately complex network systems and recommends resources required to maintain planned service levels
Support enterprise cloud and virtual solutions related network resources and services
Collaborate with IT staff to provide Level 2 & 3 technical support, troubleshoot incidents and outages, perform infrastructure problem resolution
Work with vendors and 3rd parties as needed to install, troubleshoot, or upgrade network infrastructure
Monitor network health, manage network devices and identify issues using common industry toolsets
Departmental `On Call' rotation for after hours, weekend and Holidays

Bachelors Degree

Five (5) or more years of related work experience

Knowledge of Juniper network equipment and management tools
Experience in an Enterprise or higher education network environment
Experience with network security utilities for management and implementation

Required Documents to Attach

Proven proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required for specific position
quick thinking in network down situations
Adhere to University policies and procedures to meet Institutional goals and support University's mission for student success
Knowledge of equipment standard to trade
Knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, and Quattro Pro
Demonstrated knowledge of Divisional application servers and information systems
Proven experience in IT operations
Creative in problem-solving
