    ABOUT THIS POSITION


    The Neighborhood Services Department (NSD) is dedicated to making Phoenix a community of desirable neighborhoods and helping residents to access critical services and resources.

    To achieve these goals, NSD administers several programs that preserve, enhance, and engage communities.

    The Neighborhood Services Department is seeking to hire a Clerk III.

    This position performs a variety of responsible clerical assignments including but not limited to providing administrative support duties, including customer service, answering phones, directing callers, greeting visitors, filing, making copies, data entry, and processing mail received such as Graffiti Removal permission slips.

    Other responsibilities include repairing month-end reports for the Shopping cart program and or Graffiti Program, scheduling work with vendor(s), and using an electronic procurement system.

    Currently, there is one vacancy with the Graffiti Busters section.


    IDEAL CANDIDATE

    • Ability to speak and understand Spanish.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access.

    SALARY

    Pay Range:
    $19.07 to $28.17 per hour.

    Hiring Range:
    $19.07 to $24.34 per hour.

    • Pay range is the entire compensation range for the position classification.
    • Hiring range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Two years of clerical experience or one year of experience at the level of Clerk II.
    • Other combinations of education and experience that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
    • Must be able to travel distances of up to one mile without a vehicle while pulling/pushing a cart.

Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:

    • One year experience working in a customer service environment and/or handling customer complaints.
    • One year of experience entering invoices, tracking payments, and using an electronic procurement system.
    • Some college coursework.
