    This person will have the opportunity to positively contribute to the initiatives of the Human Resources Department at the Falkirk Mine.

    As an intern at the Falkirk Mine, you'll be given real-life, impactful assignments that will put your skills and education into practice.

    You will gain valuable knowledge and hands-on experiences within various aspects of Human Resources.

    Job Description:

    Essential Duties:


    • Assist with meeting arrangements, paper and electronic filing, sorting and distribution of documents, data input, and employee functions.
    • Assist with managing the employee information database as required.
    • Assist with day-to-day human resources functions.
    • Special projects as requested.
    • Maintain a strong working relationship with mine site staff and vendors.
    • Perform job duties in accordance with MSHA law and regulations, established company safety procedures, employment law regulations, and state and federal environmental regulations.
    Other Duties:


    • Assist other departments on an as-needed basis.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
    • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, office employees, and workforce.
    • Advanced typing and proofreading skills.
    • Must have the ability to handle confidential and sensitive material.
    • Must be able to work independently and in a fast-paced work environment.
    • Ability to identify potential problems relating to assigned job duties and handle them appropriately.
    • Work effectively in a team environment.
    • Recognize and respond effectively to unexpected situations and tight deadlines.
    • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing task priorities and work situations.
    • Demonstrate leadership skills.
    Education and Training:


    • Currently pursuing a bachelor or graduate degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Psychology, Organizational Management, or a similar degree program from an accredited university.
    Housing stipend available
