    Henderson Parks, LLC is a dynamic boutique law firm with offices in Chicago and Boston. The firm primarily focuses on civil litigation (covering a diverse subject matter), although there is some federal white collar and transactional work.

    Role Description

    This is a full-time Associate Attorney position with 2-5 years of experience.

    As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for a wide range of legal tasks, including attending court hearings, trials, and depositions, conducting legal research, drafting motions/pleadings/briefs, providing legal advice, and negotiating on behalf of clients. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to complete tasks. The Firm regularly tries cases in state and federal courts, so either some trial experience or a strong interest in trials is essential.

    The position is located on-site in our Chicago office.

    Qualifications

    • Licensed to practice in Illinois
    • 2-5 years of civil litigation experience as a practicing lawyer
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
    • Experience with legal research and analyzing legal issues
    • Solid written and oral communication skills
    • Experience writing motions/briefs
    • Interest in trial practice is essential, and experience with depositions is a plus

    Compensation

    Compensation is commensurate with experience, and includes a base salary ($100,000 to $110,000) and performance bonus (up to $15,000). The firm offers health insurance, 401k, dental/vision, and other group benefits.
