- Develop, implement, and maintain the Thomasville Quality Management System
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering in the validation of new equipment, processes, inspection/measurement methods, and/or acceptance criteria.
- Assist the Quality Manager by serving in a leadership role, working with cross-functional teams to address quality issues with the use of systematic improvement and problem-solving tools.(i.e. Lean Six Sigma, PDCA, A3, etc.)
- Setup and maintain systems for data collection, analysis and reporting of KPIs as established in the Factory's Daily Management system.
- Manage test records/ results/documentation to comply with process control plans, ISO standards and document control revisions.
- Interface with suppliers on key quality issues during launch, production and performing periodic audits/reviews
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams with process improvements via project ownership, Kaizen events participation, address quality issues, and drive corrective and preventive actions
- Work with manufacturing operations to develop control plans, FMEAs, standard work, SOP's, policies, and business procedures
- Provides training/coaching to the manufacturing organization regarding Quality concepts, inspection methods, acceptance criteria or other procedure changes/improvements
- Performs other related duties as needed and assigned
- Provide training and guidance to employees to promote quality awareness
- Participates in any necessary rework, recall, or troubleshooting activities
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree and or related field, or 7+ years experience in a Quality Engineering role
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Quality Engineering role
- Experience working in ISO or other regulated manufacturing environments
- Working knowledge of Quality techniques such as Pareto, PPAP, Control Plans, SPC, APQP, DOE, Gauge R&R, Sampling Plans (AQL) and other quality related statistical tools
- Ability to think analytically, creatively, and independently with excellent problem-solving skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, advanced level MS Excel user
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships, while working collaboratively with cross-functional business teams
- Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to drive change and continuous improvement; track record leading and implementing sustainable process improvements, seeking out and implementing internal or external best practices
- Green/Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma
- Metallurgy experience
- ISO experience and ASQ Certification
- Bilingual
- Minitab Statistical software experience
