    Building, Systems, and Grounds Manager Position Description

    Education Requirements:
    High School Graduate, graduate of technical school with special education in building maintenance technology

    Experience:
    Ten years experience as a supervisor in health care or institutional facility maintenance operations and related equipment


    Required Skills:
    Manages the maintenance program by leadership coordination and team development. Must be able to read and comprehend information obtained in contracts, plans, drawings, specifications, and technical manuals. Ability to build team spirit and be a team player. Ability to adapt to frequent change, integrate multiple priorities, and manage diverse situations/environments. Ability to work well with others, including co-workers and contractors. Ability to effectively communicate orally and through written correspondences to director, and department personnel. Ability to reason. Ability to monitor work assignments and performances. Manages the grounds maintenance program insuring the grounds are kept in an attractive, safe, serviceable, and clean condition. Manages Electronic Communication section which maintains; telephones, TV#s, radios, nurse call, and pager systems.


    Physical Demands:
    Physical and mental dexterity, able to perform under delegation style management ability to handle stressful situations using good judgement


    Supervises:
    Building Maintenance Department to include the Electronic Communications Shop and Grounds Department
