Asphalt Specialists, Inc is seeking for excavation laborers with preferable with 2 years of demolition/construction experience. The excavation labor is responsible for removing of earth, rock or the materials in the ground including, but not limited to, digging, blasting, auguring, back filling, test boring, drilling, pile driving, grading, plowing in, hammering, pulling in, jacking in and trenching. This is a seasonal job (April-November approx.). The interviews process will begin in February. Come join the best Pay based on experience.
**Experience and Skills:**
*Prior to every use, evaluate the equipment and confirm that the equipment from a mechanical and safety standpoint is ready to use.
*Spread sand, dirt or other loose materials onto surfaces.
*Observes job sites prior to excavate to recognize problematic areas and to map out the paving lanes for maximized efficiency.
*Perform variable tasks that have been directed by the foreman
*Maintaining a clean and presentable work environment at all times.
*Follow the dress code and compliance of proper PPE at all times.
*Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs.
*Uses tools such as a shovel, spade, hoe, rake and pickaxe.
*Use your hands to perform activities such as holding, turning, grasping and pulling.
*Ability to perform basic math skills and follow written and verbal instructions.
*Work on uneven surfaces, climb up and down ladders, and work at various heights.
*Walk, stand, sit and bend for long period of time
*Able and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
*Able and willing to follow safety policies and procedures.
*Must be available to work on Saturday and Sunday.
*Willing to work overtime.
*Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
*Strong work ethic and willingness to work as a team to efficiently complete jobs to the highest customer satisfaction.
