• Operate and maintain various types of heavy equipment, including loaders, skid steers, excavators, tub grinders and horizontal grinders.
• Perform routine daily inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Safely and efficiently operate equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating equipment.
• Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites as needed.
• Assist with general labor duties as required.
• Load trucks with out bound materials
• Keep in bound materials sorted and make sure customers are dumping in the correct spot.
• Inspect incoming loads for trash or contaminants.
• Make sure the yard is kept clean and organized.
• Assist in processing (grinding) raw materials and in making finished mulch products.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Mechanical maintenance, welding and fabricating experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals.
• Excellent handeye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to take instruction and follow through on directives.
• Experience with tub grinders and horizontal grinders is a huge plus.
