- Tax Compliance: Oversee the accurate preparation and timely filing of all tax returns, including federal, state, and local taxes, while minimizing tax liabilities.
- Tax Planning: Develop and implement tax strategies to enhance our tax position, minimize tax risks, and identify opportunities for tax savings.
- Financial Reporting: Provide expert guidance on tax implications for financial reporting purposes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Audit Support: Manage tax audits and inquiries by tax authorities, collaborating with external auditors and legal counsel as needed.
- Team Leadership: Develop, lead and mentor the tax department, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Research and Analysis: Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, conducting research and analysis to assess their impact on Fontainebleau Development LLC.
- Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients within the organization to understand their tax needs, offer expert advice, and build strong client relationships.
- Tax Compliance Reviews: Conduct internal reviews to ensure the accuracy and completeness of tax compliance processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in private and 5 years' experience home office tax management.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations and compliance.
- Proven experience in tax planning, strategy development, and implementation.
