    Business/Entertainment Partner Attorney

    Career Consulting Partners has teamed up with a respected firm specializing in the entertainment industry representing artists for over 30 years. We are seeking a high-level attorney partner with a significant book of business. If you are looking for a transactional position, this is not it. We are an "artist-side" focused firm.


    Our clients include songwriters, recording artists, record producers, actors, professional athletes, writers, directors, producers, stunt professionals, personal managers, talent agents, business managers, attorneys, independent production companies, and other professionals and businesses involved in all aspects of the music, film, television, and sports industries.

    Although our attorneys have received significant training and experience at larger law firms, our clients benefit from the personal attention that can only be found at a boutique law firm with a distinct specialization. Our attorneys have engaged in all aspects of civil litigation in state and federal courts in California and many other jurisdictions. Although our lawyers are skilled at trial, arbitration, and appellate work, we approach matters with the goal of minimizing the risks of litigation. We frequently employ creative forms of alternative dispute resolution to save clients the time and money involved in battling through the court system. Our commitment to personal attention and providing clients with the best possible resolution has meant that the firm's clients tend to return clients. They return to the firm every time they need guidance through the complex legalities and crises often encountered in their chosen careers.


    Responsibilities:
    • Handle all aspects of litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, motions, and legal briefs.
    • Conduct legal research, analyze case law, and prepare for court appearances.
    • Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
    • Consult with clients to understand their specific legal needs and goals.
    • Provide legal advice and develop litigation strategies tailored to the client's objectives.
    • Manage the discovery process, including document production, depositions, and witness interviews.
    • Conduct thorough investigations to gather evidence and build a strong case.
    • Engage in settlement negotiations when appropriate, aiming to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
    • Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
    • Analyze complex legal issues and provide sound legal opinions.
    • Maintain strong and professional relationships with clients.
    • Keep clients informed about case developments and progress.

    Qualifications:
    • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
    • Judicial clerkship experience a plus
    • CA Bar Admission and in good standing with CA State Bar
    • Experience in Federal & State Courts
    • 10 + years of experience in the Entertainment or Sports Industry

    Additional Info:
    • 1800 Billable Minimum Requirement
    • Bonus + Commissions
    • Base Salary Compensation $250,000 +
