- Provide EOSH Subject Matter Expert (SME) technical guidance to address inquiries from the field organizations related to Radiation Safety.
- Review and validate new and current trainings in accordance with EOSH Training Standards.
- Reviewcurrent, new, and/or proposed regulatory requirements and provide recommendations for updates to FAA.
- Performing ionizing and non-ionizing radiation surveys
- Review radiation surveys.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures.
- Perform desktop analysis andmeasurements of x-ray and RF radiation at NAS facilities.
- Develop and provide Radiation Safety Measurement trainingcourse to FAA employees. Collect end-of-course evaluationsand Training Class Rosters.
- Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field from a 4-year accredited College/Universitywith 8+ yearsof prior relevant experience or a Master's degree in occupational safety and healthor related field with 6+ yearsof prior relevant experience.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Environmental Occupational Health and Safety laws, regulations, practices, and protocols.
- Knowledge of radars, Calibration and functions of the Victoreen meter, Ludlum meter, Narda NBM-550 Broadband meter, WaveControl SMP3 meter; and methods for controlling exposure to X-ray and RF radiation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to travel 25% of the time and to regularly report to scheduled FAA facilities.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills to be used in responding to technical questions and performing program presentations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability status based on client requirements (To be eligible for the FAA Public Trust you must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder who has resided in the US for the past 3 years).
- Previous work experience for/with the FAA.
- Prior work experience with US government managers/employees/programs.

Leidos is seeking an EOSH Professional to join the National Airspace System (NAS) Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) team.
The position will provide direct support EOSH Services in the Radiation Safety program area across the Air Traffic Organization (ATO) and other FAA organizations by revising and improving guidance, responding to FAA requests for surveys, and other activities. The focus of this position is to conduct various radiation hazard surveys, generate reports, review reports for completeness and accuracy, and take a variety of additional actions in support of EOSH Compliance Services Team.
Ideal candidates will be familiar with the various FAA organizations, FAA facilities and LOB/SO mission requirements. Interested candidates must be able to demonstrate proficiencies in EOSH-related training, program development, and EOSH-related program tasks.
